Protect Critical Data with Sentio from Revinetix
Sentio™ – Rack Mount Data Protection Appliance
Sentio appliances include Intel®© Core™2 Duo high-performance processors, Gigabit and Fast Ethernet controllers, dual-redundant power supplies, high speed Serial ATA (SATA) drives of varying capacities and RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) 5 technology. Backups are fully automated, restores are quick and reliable, and archive drives are hot-swappable, enabling removal and offsite storage.
Our Disk2Disk2Disk® backup philosophy is a distinguishing advantage for us, as other solutions persist in deploying legacy tape systems for data protection – particularly for archiving. We know tapes are prone to failure, as a Computer Technology Review report states that restoring data from tape backup can fail up to 70% of the time. No organization can assume such a risk when it comes to protecting critical business data.
Combined with RevOS® Advanced Data Protection software, Sentio features include:
- Turnkey single appliance solution
- Unlimited number of clients
- Fully automated disk-based backups
- Data deduplication storage optimization
- Remote byte-level replication for DR
- Active Directory support
- Exchange Agent and SQL Agent
- Rapid, reliable data recovery
- Multiple client editing
- Augments and backs-up existing SANs
- Significantly reduced backup times
- Offsite archival of data via disk
- Easy implementation and management
- Intuitive, Web 2.0 browser-based GUI
- Support for all major operating systems
- No additional site or per-user fees
- Utilize uncommitted storage
- Lowest TCO backup solution for SME
- Outstanding U.S.-based support
- And much more
The difference going from tape to disk is readily apparent. Whereas most of the tape backups were just running all of the time, now we start backups at 8PM each night, and they run just 5-6 hours. I now have one appliance, and I don’t have to reload software. I just have to browse to it again. A couple of clicks and I can start restoring.
